Frequently asked questions
1. Are any decorations not allowed?
Real candles (battery operated candles are available for rent), glitter, and artificial flower petals are prohibited. Any items or decorations that need to be hung should be hung with command strips or a suitable alternative.
2. Can I bring my pet to the ceremony?
Of course! We love your furry friends just as much as you do. We just ask that you have a dedicated Pet-sitter for the day and that your pet is cleaned up after.
3. Why aren't prices for renting the Farmstead listed online?
Rental prices are determined by the month and day of your event as well as the package selected. For example, a Saturday wedding in July is priced differently than a corporate Tuesday night event in October. Please shoot us a message or give us a call to find out more information.
4. What responsibility does the site coordinator have?
The site coordinator will spend a few hours with you and those helping you with your wedding well ahead of your day. During this time together you will decide your ceremony set up, reception set up, gift tables, and cocktail hour. Any of the ahead of time details that go into making your day run smoothly from a facility side will be worked out, all over a cup of tea or coffee. This is also the time when you'll be able to go through the rentals and decide what you'd like to use from our collections.
During your wedding day, the site coordinator will be there to make sure everything gets set up properly on our end, coordinate with getting vendors set up, turn lights on and off, unlock buildings, and oversee the flow of people. They will also make sure that whatever you’ve rented from the farmstead is ready to go for you and help with the basic set up of ceremony and reception areas.
5. How long do we receive the property for?
Each wedding at the Farmstead gets exclusive access to the property from 9am to 11pm.
6. What about food or alcohol?
We are thrilled to be working with two preferred caterers, The Cork in Anoka, Minnesota and LeFebrve's Catering, in Isanti, Minnesota. Both of these companies are incredible and will not disappoint! We require that a licensed bartender be at the event when alcohol is on premises.
7. Can I have our rehearsal here?
Absolutely! Rehearsals typically happen the morning of your wedding. If you choose not to have your rehearsal the day of the wedding, we will work with you to find a time Monday through Thursday the week of your wedding for an hour and a half rehearsal.

9. What hotels and restaurants are near the Farmstead?
There are a handful hotels in the area. Isanti (as of spring 2019), Blaine, Andover, and Coon Rapids all offer hotels. Some of our favorite restaurants are The Cork (Anoka), The Dugout (Bethel), and The Creamery (Isanti).
10. Can I leave the ceremony and reception decorations or other items until the next day?
All decorations must be taken down by the agreed upon time for the end of your event so the venue can be ready for the next rental. However, please check with your site coordinator for specific details for your event.
11. What is included in my rental package?
Included with your rental is full, exclusive access to the Farmhouse, the Carriage House, the Cattle Shed, and the grounds. We also include lighting, tables and chairs for multiple areas, a PA system, miscellaneous furniture for gift and dessert tables, and much more.
12. Do you have any decorations or props available for rental?
Absolutely! We have a unique selection of both backdrops, decorations, and props to make your day stunning and tell your unique story.
13. What happens if someone else wants the say date as I do, but I haven't made the deposit yet?
Reserving dates is on a first come first serve basis. We would like to be able to tell you if someone is looking at a date, but that puts everyone in an unfair and uncomfortable position. We want you to be comfortable and ready to make your decision on venues. We want you to know that the Farmstead is the place you want to get married at and if you aren’t ready to make that decision, we will not force it. Our desire is that you book at your own pace, not when its convent for the Farmstead. Because reserving dates is on a first come, first serve basis we would let you know when the date has been taken, but not when someone else is looking at it.
14. Is a security guard required?
Because we place high value on the safety and security of all of our guests, we do require a security guard at all weddings. We want to give you the best experience of your life and we want to make sure you and the ones you care about are safe, healthy, and celebrating without a care!
15. Does Erickson Farmstead provide linens?
At this point, we do not have linens available. However, LeFebvre's Catering and Able Table Rentals both provide incredible linens and are close to the Farmstead.
16. What time can vendors arrive on the day of my wedding?
Vendors can begin arriving at 9 am, day of the wedding.
