The Farmstead promises to be a retreat for you and everyone you love, a place of peace to host your wedding or party of any type. With acres of space, the Farmstead is the venue where friends become family and a lifetime of memories are made.
Meet the team
Site Coordinator Team Lead
I graduated from University of Northwestern - St. Paul with a B.A. in Communication Studies. I met my hubby there and we got married right after graduation. We actually got married in a beautiful barn on a Farmstead in Wisconsin and have always been in love with that sort of rustic charm! We are celebrating ten years of marriage this summer with a trip to Montana to see the mountains. We love adventure!
I love being active and outdoors as much as possible. I grew up in Wisconsin and my parents had a cottage (you Minnesotans call it a "cabin") on a lake and I absolutely love water sports. My greatest accomplishment - a pyramid on skis with my sister and cousin! Ask me about it sometime! I'm a die-hard Packer fan...sorry, not sorry ;) I also adore coffee, reading, and treasure any quiet moments to myself. Hello, mom life!
My work background is actually the real estate industry - I worked as a commercial real estate closer for around 5 years in downtown Minneapolis and then once I started having kids, I transitioned to our residential department for a more behind the scenes role managing our new construction portfolio. I'm a details/systems gal but also a visionary so I hope to combine both my personal and professional skills in this job.
I very much look forward to meeting each and every one of you and partnering together to make the dreams and visions of friends, family, & community members come true through the beauty and charm of the Farm.

Cozy Space Designer
Julie is beyond excited to see the Farmstead bursting with life again and have you be a part of it! Hospitality is her thing, which means she'll offer you a cold soda pop or a cup of coffee or something to munch on. She has a knack for making people feel at home and comfortable, no matter the situation, and has a love of things with chippy paint and a few years under their belt.
Julie graduated with a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis on Marketing from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. Dennis and Julie have been married for almost 24 years and have three children. She worked in marketing for Maximum Promotions and Swiss Miss before starting a family and spending 10 years as a homemaker. Once their kids were in school full time, she opened and ran a successful staging company from 2006 until 2011, called Rediscovered Interiors LLC, with a partner. In 2010 she started substitute teaching at PACT Charter School, where their 3 children attended school, and continued teaching until purchasing and opening the Round Barn Trading Company with her husband Dennis in 2015.

He has extensive experience managing small and large teams, collaborating to achieve organizational goals. With over ten years in HR, his knowledge of recruiting, retaining and employment law is extensive.
We recently acquired the Erickson Farmstead and are working quickly to prepare it for your next event. It takes time, elbow grease, and a lot of work to fix up a farm, but we're tackling it one project at a time to revitalize the Farmstead's natural beauty. Follow the restoration projects on all the social sites and through our newsletter below (we promise not to spam your inbox).
Are you interested in helping out with the refurbishing and TLC of the Farmstead by pitching in a few hours of elbow grease for projects, have a unique skill set, or want to get the details for our upcoming work days? This is the place to be to get the particulars on how to get involved.
